KNIFE WORK #1
If training with a knife*, (to practise disarming), do not focus on the blade, instead focus peripherally, especially the attacker’s shoulders & upper torso movement – this allows appropriate movement and depending on the situation^, counter / control / disarm from close quarters.

Benefits: Increases the opportunity to garner smooth movement off the line, negate one’s fear and control of the situation.
